once upon a time...

Mr. Van Dyk, had studied in Media Arts, but had found himself later on in life, building a career in something completely different.

The inner artist never left him however, and after years of reading many stories and books with his own children, a simple quote he had heard, opened him up to a brand new world.

“If there's a book that you want to read, but it hasn't been written yet, then you must write it.”  - Toni Morrison

So what was it then?  In all those books that he had read with his kids, … what was missing?  What was worth writing about?  What would make it relevant?  Why would anyone want to read it?  What was the ‘thing’ that Mr. Van Dyk would want to share?

Mr. Van Dyk wanted to create something fun and unique, that could demonstrate, not only to his kids, but all kids everywhere, love, joy, kindness, integrity, and decency.  To challenge and empower them to have the courage to do what is right, even when it’s scary! Most importantly, encourage them to always think and treat each other, like they would want to be treated.

Our little ones will often find themselves alone in their life journey and facing many challenges. The trick is to be with them, even during those times.
